St Edmund’s RC Primary School- Audience Response System

case-study-2

What is the project?

To use the IQ-Pads as a way of assessing pupils’ performance.

Key objectives/outcomes

  • Track pupils’ performance and progress.
  • To develop pupils’ enthusiasm in getting more involved in lessons.

Actions taken

The response systems were used as a way of assessing pupils’ knowledge and understanding of subjects taught. Also used to encourage all pupils to enjoy participating and contributing during lessons.

Evidence of success
Pupils loved using the response systems. They liked to see the instant data and became quite competitive. The similarities with a mobile phone made them easy and enjoyable to use. Less confident children particularly benefitted from using them.
Summary

The audience response systems helped me as a teacher to track pupils’ understanding and helped me to analyse data. Pupils loved using the response systems. They liked to see the instant data and they became quite competitive.

The future

To work alongside other staff so the interactive response systems can be used in other classrooms. Look forward to using them again.
