‘
After learning the science then designing
and building our equipment, it was great to
see it played back in lesson so we could
see exactly what happened.’
Miranda.net Report on Interactive Education
A number of schools across England were surveyed to investigate the ways in which they use the Genee Vision visualiser, and the ways in which it has impacted on their teaching, learning and work management.
Midlands UK Case Studies - Genee Vision
Many schools have noticed a real impact on the ways in which processes and techniques in Science and Design and Technology can be demonstrated – and captured to use in other context
North UK Case Studies - Genee Vision
The Visualisers have been of great value in sharing pupils work with each other. This has been of particular use in electronics, engineering and in graphics
South UK Case Studies - Genee Vision
The visualiser has been very motivating for the children - they work very hard to be chosen to show their work under the visualiser at the end of a lesson
Devonshire Case Study - Visualiser
The visualiser was used in a number of ways. In Literacy, it helped children identify when they had met their writing targets. In Science it was used to explore minibeasts, and record a caterpillar diary.
First Steps Nursery Case Study - Visualiser
The visualiser was used to look at frog spawn, tadpoles and frogs in detail and to notice how they change and the features they have.
Langley Primary Case Study - Visualiser
Children have been learning about how teeth are related to diet and the importance of dental care. The visulaliser had a huge impact on the children’s understanding and enjoyment of the topic.
Shireland hall case study - Visualiser
The visualiser was mostly used in Literacy and Maths for Assessment for Learning. It helped to develop both peer and self assessment and also played a key part in developing speaking and listening.
Sandwell CaseStudy
The following case study has been compiled as a result of a partnership between Interactive Education and Shireland City Learning Centre in Sandwell.
Shireland City Learning Centre in Partnership with First
Steps Nursery, Langley Primary School, Devonshire
Infants School and Shireland Hall Primary School in
Sandwell and Interactive Education.
The Minster School
In 2007, Interactive Education sold 50 Genee
Vision Visualisers to The Minster School,
Southwell, Nottinghamshire.
St Michael’s RC Primary School
“The Children at Michael’s were really impressed and excited about their new ICT equipment and they even went on to describe the freeze frame function as ‘magic’ they added ‘it allows us to share our work really easily”
Barking and Dagenham LEA
“We have only had the visualiser for a few weeks but it is especially useful for environmental science, looking at natural objects, pond creatures, flowers etc So far it has been used for taking images but we hope to extend this to video capturing and use time lapse to record the growth of mould, seeds etc”
Visualiser Project – Fellgate Primary School
Many of the children have become proficient in using the visualiser. It has become a key and positive part of learning in Year 6 as there have been occasions where the children have requested that they show their work to the rest of the group through use of the visualiser.
The children have become really supportive of each other during review sessions when their work is on the visualiser.
