Interactive Learning Software works in conjunction with the IE Pro board. This is what makes the IE Board powerful, as there are 20 "Lesson Planner Soft Keys" on either side of the board, and these are used to launch predefined activities.

At the simple click of the pen, all the functions that you expect a top quality whiteboard are available, without the need for an ugly on-screen palette. The most unique and powerful tool provided within the Interactive Learning Software is the "Lesson Planner Soft Key Editor". This allows the user to customize and change the factory settings, and these can be saved to a small, unique file. Additionally, the ILS is provided with a site license. Therefore Teachers can plan and prepare their lessons at home, including all the functions of the "Lesson Planner Soft Keys".

Virtual Whiteboard

The Virtual Whiteboard (VWB) is also provided within the ILS software and is based on the standard flip chart concept. This application itself provides a great deal of flexibility and additional functions to aid and assist teachers with a variety of needs and requirements.

Features of The Virtual Whiteboard include:

Annotation Pens
•	Thousands of different pen / highlighter colours are available
Text Box
•	A flexible text box can be contained within the VWB
•	When using the free Hand Writing Recognition Software you are able to write directly onto the board and at the press of a button covert it to type that can then be printed or copied into any other application
Shapes
•	Draw different types of shapes (Rectangle, Circle etc)
Undo / Redo
•	Use the undo / redo feature if you make a mistake or to jump back several steps
Changeable Properties
•	Default Background Presets
•	Blackboard, Graph, Ruled, Precision Graph, Music, Cursive to name but a few
•	Add your own background or customise any of the above The VWB allows a user to expand upon a topic whilst in the middle of working on something else. The VWB can be launched, used, and then with one lick you can toggle back to your original application. The VWB also features Auto-Save. This facility saves your VWB at regular intervals to your hard drive. So if your PC was to crash, or you forget to save before exiting, your work will still be preserved in its last state.

Soft Key Editor

The Soft Key Editor is used to customise the functions associated to each of the Lesson Planner Soft Keys. Not only can the functions be programmed to a desired Lesson Planner Soft Key, but each function can also be customised in regards to colour, font, style etc.

Lesson Planner Soft Keys - The Options

Annotation Pens
•	A choice of thousands of colours
•	Customize the pixel thickness of the pen
Clear Screen
•	Fully clear screen of all notes etc at the touch of a button
Eraser
•	Erase anything you have drawn on screen simply and quickly.
Highlighter
•	Select the required colour
•	Select the desired pixel width
•	Choose whether to retain annotation
Launch World Wide Web
•	If an internet connection is present, launch direct to a website.
Play Multimedia Files
•	One touch launch of multimedia files (.wav, .mp3, .avi etc)
Resize
•	Any image can be imported into the vitual whiteboard and resized
Reveal
•	Select the 'Mask' Colour
•	Choose the reveal mode (Mask or Shade)
•	Select the reveal direction (Top to Bottom or vice-versa)
Rotate
•	This allows any image to be rotated within the virtual whiteboard
Rubber Stamp
•	Select from 30+ images
•	Choose to retain or remove on right click
Run Applications
•	Navigate and select a file locally saved
Snap Shot
•	Take either the whole screen or user defined area
Spotlight
•	Select background and border thickness and density
•	Select from several different shapes
Subliminal Message
•	Input a message that will appear on the board.
•	Highly configurable
Ticker Tape
•	Input a message that will scroll across the screen.
•	Extremely user configurable
Timer & Clock
•	Customise the clock (background / border / text colour)
•	Choose the font type (style / size)
•	Choose placement (Top / Centre / Bottom)
Virtual Keyboard
•	Full on screen keyboard, usable like the real thing.
Zoom
•	Select Zoom and Pan / Zoom Window
•	Choose level of magnification (2x or 3x)
