Naace is the professional association for those
concerned with advancing education through the
appropriate use of Information and Communications
Technology (ICT). The association was established
in 1984 and has become the key influential professional
association for those working in ICT in Education.
Interactive Education has been working closely
with Naace to help schools attain the Naace ICT
Mark. This is awarded to schools that promote
best practices in ICT. There are now over 600
schools across 128 LEAs that have achieved the
ICT Mark.

BESA is a trade association. Trade associations are organisations

consumables, furniture, technology, ICT hardware,
and digital content. - They advice the education
market. BESA members supply to UK and international
markets, across the curriculum and at all levels
from early years to FE and vocational training.
The total turnover of BESA members is in excess
of £1.8 billion. BESA members offer buyers peace
of mind by subscribing to a Code of Practice.

within the Local Government (Goods & Services) Act 1970. It
acts as a purchasing agent for its member authorities and
other customers and provides a professional cost effective
procurement and supply service.

set aside substantial funds in the form of eLCs
(electronic Learning Credits). This eLC money
