About Interactive Education

Interactive Education is a company set-up by Teachers for Teachers.  As a company whose sole aim is to advance the use of ICT Technology within an Educational Context, we believe we have a unique understanding of the type of technology required in a 21^st Century School (Classroom of Tomorrow).

Interactive Education together with GeneeWorld has developed both Hardware and Software solutions (like interactive whiteboards, visualisers, audience response system etc) that tackle the Government’s agenda on Personalised Learning.  Our Geneei Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) allows Teachers to develop personalized learning programs for students which include online testing and automatic marking.  Lesson Content and linked resources can be easily developed and a powerful search engine relating to keyword searches allows Teachers and pupils to explore this Learning Environment fully.  This VLE is aimed at Parents/ Guardians as well as Teachers and Pupils.

GeneeUs^® is an Interactive Response System with a difference!! It is aimed at putting the ‘fun’ back into learning.  The animated quiz’s and unique advanced 3D games are designed to motivate and inspire pupils to learn, aimed especially at those pupils who might not usually respond to traditional methods of learning.  The formattive assessment during the presentation and the summative reports which can be export to a large variety of formats including MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe PDF giving GeneeUs^® an incredible edge.  Smooth integration into MS Power Point when creating questions allows the learning curve for all Teachers to be easy and quick.

The vast array of curriculum content from reception through to Key stage 4 covering all subjects has been developed.  Written by existing Teachers with years of experience and animated by the GeneeWorld Studio in a unique manner allows the Teacher to start using GeneeUs^® immediately.  A tremendous amount of FREE content together with modules are available that can be purchased using e-Learning Credits.

Concept/ Mind Mapping has grown in importance over the last few years.   Mind Mapping helps Students' understanding of difficult concepts.  Interactive Education has developed GeneeGel- a Mind Mapping tool together with GeneeWorld.  GeneeGel allows any concept to be visualised as a mind map using an easy-to-use relationship table.  Animation, movies, and images can be also inserted into the map aiding understanding.

GeneeVision^® is a visualiser which allows any object or document to be digitized.  The incredible lens quality and huge functionality puts GeneeVision^® ahead of any other Visualiser in its class.  Primary school Teachers can make any literacy lesson a ‘Big Book’ lesson.  The split functionality allows the teacher to show any object and introduce text at the same time so as to explain the concept further.  The amazing facility (22x Optical) gives you the teacher the capability of zooming-in to an incredible degree.   The long throw lens allows objects to view from an incredible distance.  The software that comes with GeneeVision^® allows animation movies to be created easily and time lapse video to be filmed.  The GeneeVision^® can act as a Digital Camcorder, Digital Camera and Web Cam.  Local Education Authorities such as Dagenham and Barking have put GeneeVision^® in virtually every school within their authority.  It can be linked with any Interactive Whiteboard so that any object displayed could be annotated and saved.

Interactive Education has been and is currently heavily involved in the Government’s "Building Schools for the Future" Programme.  The Genee Desk forms an important integral part of Interactive Educations' ‘Classroom of the Future’.  The Genee Desk allows different pedagogy to be delivered within a classroom.  Teachers can not only deliver a lesson in the traditional manner but when required ICT Equipment can be brought in by lifting the flip desk screen up into an upright position.  This enables a variety of different teaching styles to be adopted.
